The Justice Action Network participated in Dream Corps Justice’s virtual event, Act for Equal – 35 Years Is Too Long: Now Is The Time To #PassTheEQUAL Act. The event, held on October 20th, marked the 35th “anniversary” of the passage of the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986, which established the 100:1 disparity between crack and powder cocaine. The program featured opening remarks provided by Dream Corps’ National Director Janos Marton, and panelists including JAN’s Federal Affairs Manager Cortland Broyles, Dream Corps’ Kandia Milton, FAMM’s Federal Manager Josh Mittman, and National District Attorneys Association’s Frank Russo.
