Conducted between January 15 and January 18, 2022, a poll of 500 likely voters in Missouri found broad bipartisan agreement that the state’s criminal justice system needs reform. The sentiment was shared across key demographic groups, including majorities of Republicans (62%), households which include victims of violent crime (79%), as well as law enforcement households (70%).
A multi-state poll, that surveyed voters in Missouri between January 19 and January 22, 2016, found broad bipartisan agreement on the need for criminal justice reform that spanned states as well as key demographics. Likely voters in all states polled, agreed that, among other things, we jail too many non-violent offenders, too much is spent on imprisoning non-violent offenders, and the goal of our criminal justice system should be rehabilitation.
