TODAY: As Bipartisan Criminal Justice Reform Legislation Gains Serious Momentum in the House, Impacted Families, Leading Bipartisan Lawmakers Gather for a Rally for Reform by the US Capitol

Today, July 27th, 2021 – As critical bipartisan criminal justice reform legislation gathers steam in the House and across Capitol Hill, Republican and Democratic officials and impacted families will join FAMM and Justice Action Network for a Rally for Reform at the Capitol View Rooftop at the Hall of States building. Tuesday’s event also includes a special announcement from James Cadogan, Executive Director of the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition.
Just last week, the EQUAL Act received an overwhelming bipartisan vote in the House Judiciary Committee. The bill, which would fully and finally eliminate the sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine, has bipartisan support in the Senate and has earned the support of leading law enforcement organizations and advocacy groups from across the political spectrum.
