Benny Snell Jr. Annual Snell Yeah Youth Football Camp
July 18, 2019, Westerville, OH
The Justice Action Network gave a $4,000 sponsorship to the Snell Yeah youth football camp for children ages 6 – 16, hosted by University of Kentucky alumni and Pittsburgh Steelers Running Back Benny Snell Jr. The camp, located at the football stars’ Westerville, Ohio high school, gave dozens of local kids impacted by parental incarceration an opportunity to participate. JAN provided collateral material for the camp, worked with local community groups to allow several children into the camp at no-cost and with our lobbyists on getting press opportunities. Snell spoke to reporters about the need for justice reform, which was covered in the Lexington Herald Leader and the Columbus Dispatch.
